confess: Recently I took a bath.
Yes, a great waste of resources for selfish pleasure.
a bath requires a lot of energy to heat 350 liters of drinking water after use are mixed with raw sewage (including feces) or whether they will be completely contaminated sewers to hopefully get a large water treatment plants, which use tons of chlorine, to leave the water "safe" for a future consumption.
Well this picture is clear that it is better to bathe in the shower quickie.
then how one can indulge without wasting resources?
would it be possible to maintain certain pleasures from time to time without cause environmental damage?
Well let's see some options:
To heat the water:
a good choice would be a solar collector (solar water heater)
this appliance circulates water through coils or grids of thermally insulated pipes which are exposed to the sun , so they absorb the infrared rays without losing heat to warm a winter day (a small greenhouse)
get the most efficient 50-degree temperatures on cloudy days (more than enough to take a hot bath) and a 90 on sunny days. (To cook some spaghetti)
The cost of these solar pays for itself by saving money it means to have one of these in about 2 years. You can do yourself a solar collector.
Let the waste water.
The water used can be stored in a tank and then used the toilet or watering plants (of course we should not bathe every day immersion)
This applies both in homes and in cities.
If we do less stupid things every time we make less. Why not make them right?
