My perception is that no, I would put 4 points per game.
The draw 2 each
Victory a difference by 2 goals or more 4
And the victory by only a goal difference of 3 points for winner and one for the loser. 
This system fairer score ties, if that would reward the highest scoring team, at least those earning more times for more than a little, that is what it is. See if curdles suggestion.
